With the 12th Edition of the BREVETTO DEL MONTE GRAPPA, ASD BREVETTO for MONTE GRAPPA and ENERGIAPURA continue its commitment in favour of this event, become prestigious among cyclists who want to know and appreciate “our” mountain. Absolute protagonists are the 10 Climbs, so all different, but challenging and definitely unique. Ramps hard, less hard, ups and
downs roads, but spectacularly unforgettable passing through forests, typicals chalet, pastures, testimonies of war and breathtaking views of the Venetian plain and the Dolomites surrounding peaks.
Climb that have nothing to envy to the great alpine climbs: it is not easy, finding crossings with a so important drop, that at the top reachs the 1,775 mt., and several access. The plain in Cima Grappa get lost on the horizon: an emotion that leaves its mark... Each of us decides which is the space to have in this cycling experience, which test us out, passionately, finding more and more a limit to practice, an uphill way, even within himself, because efforts teach, as well as to satisfy, become a teacher of life and let us appreciate also the little daily things. This “pedal” from now on, it can also become joy and hope for some, then here is the ultimate meaning of this and of the past editions that ENERGIAPURA offers. Among the climbs to the Monte Grappa, this is maybe the easiest one. You should start from this, if you are going to face the other ones too. The Giro d’Italia chose this road as well and it is also famous for the Bassano - Monte Grappa amateurs, where great champions such as Gino Bartali, Ivan Gotti, Gilberto Simoni, Damiano Cunego prevailed.

The first part is very scenic with spectacular terraces to the below plain. It is quite demanding while approaching the top, but it is very quite and paeceful. It is a training road appreciated by any kind of cyclist, both for amateur or for professional races.

Road for further fatigues and with some quite hard stretches, even for the best trained cyclists. In Archeson, after a first easy stretch, the Alpini road offers very demanding slopes alternated to easier stretches. From km 5 a nice uphill strech, followed by an easier one, then once again towards the Monte Tomba. Over? Absolutely not…

The “road of Tomba” is very hard, although it moves in the typical foothill forest, it passes under the Monte Palon and litterally climbs towards the Archeson, Bocaor and Cima Grappa. Once you emerge on the Val delle Mure meadows, you will appreciate the landscape of the Venetian plain before facing the last steep stretch to the Cima Grappa.

Almost fully surrounded at first by green beech forests, and then by the pine forest, the "road of Monfenera" seems the typical Sunday outing road, but this is not the case, although the forest makes the pedaling more enjoyable. The toughest stretch is the one that leads from an 800 mt to 1,300 mt altitude.

This is a variant to climb to Monte Tomba from the North side, the road “strada del Grappa” starts from Alano di Piave and reaches Cima Grappa from the Valley “Valle delle Mure”. Quite affordable initially, it joins the climbs 3, 4, 5 and 6 in its last part, where it becomes more difficult. Little traffic, out of season you may find yourself cycling in a solitary

Climb with prohibitive gradients and with a very narrow track. From “Pian della Chiesa” the road goes moderatly uphill up to an altitude of 600 m, from where the hardest strech starts; 2 Km with gradients ranging from 15% to 20%. Actually, not so many chances to get some breath.

It is a challenging climb, although quite and chosen several times by the Giro d’Italia. Due to its length and vertical drop (1.542 mt.) it seems endless. After a first part with a very challanging bend and a regular gradiant, the path goes through the forest facing Fonzaso. Then it goes on with another hard part alternating very steep stretches to slight slope. From Forcelletto, it goes around Monte Pertica up to “rifugio Scarpon”, where it joins to the “Cadorna” which leads to the “rifugio Bassano”.

It starts north of the village, from St.Laurent road, and it is a rural path closed to motorvehicles. It is fully asphalted, except for two stretches of respectively 200 m and 600 m, which are unpaved. According to the “climbers of the Grappa”, gradients in the first stretch are very hard. Then the path moves among hills, meadows, forests in full silence. Before Forcelletto, it goes out to Cadorna road, coming from Caupo. Also excellent for mountain biking

From Campo Solagna, during Penise’s route, with awesome landscape on Brenta river and plateau of Asiago, you reach the refugee Finestron. So in the direction of the wooded Street Moschina to arrive at locality Magnola, passing to the north of Col della Beretta and M. Asolone. Passing through the Cason del Termine you arrive on SS 148 near the hotel Forcelletto. In front of the path n. 10 (naturalistic ring of the Grappa) that cuts the eastern ridge of Pertica and passing through the old base NATO give you access to the sacrate top of Grappa.

Steep mule track with a rather compact gravel ground, that which winds in almost 40 narrow hairpin bends leading to the Malaga Andorsetta and then up to the asphalted road to Valle delle Mure at Cima Grappa. With beautiful day there is the possibility to see also the Venice lagoon. It is not rare to see chamois and roe deer that are numerous in this valley...

From the osteria “da Ico” in Possagno, you arrive at the famous Canovian Temple where the long climb begins. In the first part the climb is medium demanding, while after Villa Viola becomes considerably more difficult. Once reached the asphalt the climb becomes easy along the bends of Monte Palon and Bocca di Forca ending at Bocca dell'Archeson and then continue towards the S.P. 141 Dorsale del Grappa, and then towards the S.P 14 Cima Grappa.

From seren del Grappa continue towards the forest road that goes to Monte Peurna, in a series of hairpin bends. Climbing then an old mule track built by the Austrian military during the First World War through a suggestive tunnel leads to the Pian dea Bala. Continue on the S.P. 141 ridge of Grappa, then enter the S.P.149 General Giardino towards Cima Grappa.

The path 196 (95) starts from Cassanego di borso del Grappa and after km. 5.4 arrives on the road to Campo Croce. From the little church of Campo Croce go up after 500 m on a short climb to the Piedor houses, turn right on the path of the Malghe. From this path you can slowly enjoy nature in all its splendour, then, for the S.P. 149 General Giardino towards Cima Grappa.
